Further to the easing of restrictions on training by the FA earlier this week, we would like to clarify the club’s position on training. Manchester FA held a very informative webinar on Thursday, which we attended, and it is clear that there are a number of serious points to consider before we move forward.

As we wouldn’t normally be training in June, coaches have been asked not to arrange any training. This will give us time to consider the options and formulate club procedures and policies.

Some of the things we have to consider:

• Risk Assessments

• DBS / Safeguarding Requiements

• Coaching Ratios

• Hygiene practices

• Equipment cleaning protocol

• Decisions on who can attend

• Water bottle protocol

We are also required to do a player induction before commencing training again so that players and parents make fully informed decisions.
